Who Gets Well, Who Doesn’t
Perhaps you know someone who can’t seem to get out of the rut and is oftentimes sick. There are people who swear to high heavens that they want to get well more than anything else even as they continue to indulge in harmful habits. Some people are forever worrying and anxious and thus make themselves physically ill.
Why People Become Sick or Get Stuck
Most, if not all people who can’t seem to get out of a physical, spiritual, mental or emotional rut oftentimes have blockages in their systems which prevent them from doing what they need to do to get well.
These blockages could have been caused by trauma –emotional, physical, spiritual, sexual or mental trauma. Once the sources of the blockages are discovered, healing follows because the energy in the body is finally able to move freely.
One of the greatest rewards of being a Reiki transformational therapist is seeing someone finally free from depression after decades of being under anti-depression medication. Another joy is being able to help people unearth the reasons behind their illness and therefore release the energies that caused the illness. I have witnessed people transform their lives from slavery to material desires to one that is spiritually inspired. Even those diagnosed with manic depression experience dramatic healing after the energy blockages are dismantled.
Who Gets Well and Who Doesn’t – the tell-tale signs
Anyone who wants to heal should always be willing to give up something that they love to do, or an outcome that they are attached to. Oftentimes I tell my clients beforehand that if they go on with their sessions, they will change – and sometimes in ways that they did not expect. If they are emotionally blocked it could mean that once the blockages are removed, they may later want to move out of situations, relationships and even careers that are not supportive to their well-being. The person who heals is the one who is willing to leave behind comfort zones.
I always give homework – because by doing homework the client continues the healing work after the session. Those who persevere and do their homework diligently not only heal – they heal so much faster than those who don’t. Why? Because energy follows intent. Their deep desire and intent to heal sets the path towards healing. The energy in and around them has no choice but to follow the path set by their intent.
I never tell my clients to come back or when to come back for another session. I tell them to sense how they feel after the session and then ask them to decide if they want to have another one. And if they do decide to have another session, I never tell them how often they should have sessions. Rather, I ask them to design their own healing journey.
Those who decide to mark off days on their calendar for sessions on a regular basis always – without fail – heal very quickly. Again, their intent on healing knows no bounds – so the energy has no choice but to follow this path that they have chosen. Those who dilly-dally and take their time either drop out eventually or most of the time I tell them that perhaps I am not the right person who can help them.
People who heal and those who heal faster are the ones who are willing to see that their illness or disease have symbolic meanings and may sometimes be little nudges from their soul, asking that they change their ways. This, plus the willingness to change can dramatically alter the flow of energy and influence the body’s state so that the movement is towards homeostasis and not deterioration.
